High resolution
3D imagery technology to assist us in your complex procedures
CT Scanning – Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scanner, a specialized type of X-ray machine. CBCT provides three-dimensional (3D) images of a patient’s teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways, and bone in a single scan. Unlike traditional 2D dental X-rays, CBCT scans offer detailed, high-resolution images from different angles, which are essential for more complex procedures.
Benefits of dental CBCT Scanning
CBCT scans expose patients to a lower dose of radiation compared to medical CT scans, making them more suitable for dental applications. key uses of CBCT in dentistry include, but are not limited to:
Implant planning
Helps dentists accurately place dental implants by analysing the bone structure and density.
Orthodontics
Assists in diagnosing misalignment issues and planning treatments like braces or Invisalign.
Oral surgery
Aids in planning procedures such as tooth extractions or evaluating impacted teeth.
Endodontics
Provides detailed information about tooth roots and surrounding bone for root canal treatments.
How it works…
